Jake was a good kid who loved fishing and sports. Sadly, Jake fell victim to drugs as a teenager and lost his life. His family is honoring his memory through For Jake’s Sake, a foundation that aims to bring drug awareness and education to the community.
Saint Gianna’s Maternity Home is located in peaceful Warsaw, North Dakota, and offers mothers a safe place to have their babies and learn to care for them. Continued support and love are just what these mothers and babies need to find success.
The Hotdish Club was formed at Ben Franklin Junior High in Fargo when two teachers saw there was a need to ensure students had enough to eat. The teachers, along with students and other community members, prepare hotdishes that qualifying students can take home.
WouldWorks is an organization based in Los Angeles that gives unemployed, homeless people the opportunity to work and create wood products. The organization was born with the idea to give the homeless population jobs and opportunity.
Cancer survivor Dawn is thankful. Although she had to fight breast cancer with a difficult course of treatments, the experience gave her gratitude and strengthened her faith.
A group of employees in Minneapolis gave their friend Brian the opportunity to live his last days to the fullest. Donating their Pay It Forward funds to Brian and his family allowed Brian to spend quality time with his family before he passed away after a battle with cancer.
Twenty-eight Bell State Bank & Trust employees worked hard to gather over 20 fleece blankets, approximately 250 sets of pajamas and $14,500 in Pay It Forward funds to donate to Project Ignite Light. The organization’s founder was overjoyed by the generous donation and amazing teamwork.
Jeff Botnen was so moved by a story he saw on the news that he decided he was going to donated a kidney to someone who was in need. Jeff selflessly donated a kidney to a complete stranger and undoubtedly saved a man’s life.
Reagon suffered injuries in an accident, but came out on the other side strong and healing well. The experience helped her “come out of her shell,” as Reagon showed amazing courage and strength. She is now a happy, smiley kindergartener.
When Molly Carter, Bell State Bank & Trust employee, found out that eight-year-old Jane was starting treatments for leukemia, she knew that's where she wanted her Pay It Forward money to go.
