Should I Still Meet With An Advisor If I Use Online Calculators?
Aug 17, 2018
Q&A with Bell Investments
Q. I use an online financial calculator to plan my retirement savings. Should I still meet with an advisor?
A. With so many financial calculators and programs online, it can be difficult to know where to start. We strongly encourage most people to work with a financial representative. Although many online tools are free, they can’t give you the same direction and strategies you’ll get from an experienced financial planner who can help you look at the “big picture.”
A financial representative can help you build a personal financial and retirement plan, tailored to your unique dreams, that focuses on your expenses, tax rates, annual returns, even life expectancy. You can even test out specific life situations that could arise, including what happens if the market plunges, or how to prepare for the expenses of long-term care.
Not sure where to begin? Let’s talk about it.
We’re here to help you get started on the path to saving, with decisions made in your best interest.
